Among the MSO’s fundraisers, the high spirited Battle for the Baton has received wide, enthusiastic community support. Battle contestants compete for the honor of conducting the MSO for one piece at its season finale

How does the Battle ensue?  The teams solicit votes/donations from music lovers, family, friends, and co-workers. So, when you are approached, we encourage you to vote for your favorite team by donating $5.00, tax deductible, for each vote (credit cards accepted).

Or, we have arranged for the Courthouse Pub to serve you one of five signature “Team Battle” drinks for $10.00, which includes one vote for your candidates and a $5.00 donation to the MSO.

You can vote early and vote often, but please vote for those you would like to see “replace” Maestro Wildman for the April 19 finale. Our goal is to have each team obtain 400 votes. The winner will be announced during the concert.
