Ingrid Hanson-Popp currently serves as principal pianist with the Waukesha Symphony Orchestra.  She has also been part of the Concord Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Jamin Hoffman, since 2005. She directs a private piano studio of all ages and abilities, boasting an apprentice program for students interested in music careers. Ingrid is a member of the American College of Musicians, adding to performance opportunities for her students.  Other recent projects include forming the trio In One a Chord (www.inoneachord.com) specializing in custom music programs for private parties, weddings, fund-raising events and community groups. This ensemble of harp, piano and voice has recently finished its first recording project. Ingrid received her Master’s degree in piano performance from Roosevelt University, studying with Dr. Ludmila Lazar, and her Bachelor’s degree in piano performance at Northern Illinois University, studying with Donald Walker, the Artist-in-Residence.

If Ingrid isn't practicing her piano or the art of conversation (a strong family trait), you may find her ballroom dancing with her supportive husband and partner in all kinds of artistic endeavors.
